Today the dinosaurs had a massive playdate.  They laughed, they cried, they danced, they jumped.  The herbivores ate plants and leaves, the carnivores ate other dinosaurs.  There was a treasure being guarded and bad guys who wanted to steal it.

Five-year-old D named all the dinosaurs and taught Mommy that you can always tell a Velociraptor by the “toe that points up.”

Mommy made her dinosaurs quote Dead Poets Society, The Godfather, and The Usual Suspects and sing The Lion King’s “Circle of Life” while the other dinosaurs feasted.  D was unfazed.  Mommy amused herself greatly.

Today we laughed like loons.

  1. Sigh – brings back memories. One year the Sailor asked Papa Noel for seven dinosaur books. And he got them, too.
